Support for Renishaw's Ramascope and RM-Series Raman microscopes

RM series 1From 1 May 2012 Renishaw will be limiting its service support for these products solely to repairs to replacement items such as lasers and filters. This will enable customers to continue using these instruments for the foreseeable future, but increasing obsolescence and rapidly advancing technology means upgrading them to add functionality is no longer a viable proposition..

Taking this step now also allows Renishaw to concentrate on supporting the much greater, and increasing, number of inVia Raman microscopes in use.

The Ramascope and the RM-Series—introduced in 1992 and 1998, respectively—were superseded by the inVia from 2002 onwards.
